
Dr. John F. Bade has worked in a variety of positions, with increasing responsibility since joining Boeing, in 1988. This includes leadership positions in: Engineering, Quality, Supplier Management, Product Support, Program Management and Business Development. In these positions, he has worked with numerous programs and customers.
Currently John is responsible for Strategic Development, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Competitive Assessments for the $7B Support Systems Division. John has had several international Program Management assignments working programs in Japan, Italy and the United Arab Emirates. John has also worked in Business Development, being responsible for $4B orders per year. Previously John has worked in numerous process improvements, strategic plans, integration activities, and performance improvements. John has conducted numerous improvement projects as a “Black Belt” to help reduce cycle time, improve quality and reduce cost.
John earned a BS in Engineering Management (Eng. Mgt.) with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering in 1985, and a MS in Eng. Mgt. in 1987 at University of Missouri-Rolla. He continued his education at St. Louis University by obtaining an MBA in 1991, and completing his PhD. in Eng. Mgt. at University of Missouri-Rolla in 1998. John teaches evening graduate courses at University of Missouri-Rolla and Washington University. John teaches classes in the areas of: Strategic Management, Technology, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, Taguchi, Project Management and Total Quality Management. He also has areas of interest in, Program Management, Leadership, Production, Supportability/Logistics and International Business. John has also instructed courses at the Boeing Leadership Center in St. Louis.
