Robert (Bob) Bruce is affiliated with Droms Strauss Advisors, Inc., which is a registered investment advisory firm providing investment management services.

Bob graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla with a B.S. degree in Engineering Management in 1969 and earned his M.S. degree in the same field in 1970. In 1973, he joined INTRAV, a travel services company, as Account Executive, later promoted to Regional Vice President for INTRAV’s largest region. During his years at INTRAV, Bob was the company’s sales leader. In 1992, he became a registered representative for The New England insurance company, joining Droms Strauss Advisors in 1998.

Volunteer service is important to Bob, and much of his time has been devoted to serving UMR and the MSM-UMR Alumni Association. He has been a member of the MSM-UMR Alumni Association Board of Directors as well as a member of the University of Missouri Alumni Alliance. He has served as president of the St. Louis Alumni Section, as a Public Resource Ambassador, Class Coordinator, and Chancellor’s Leadership Class speaker and is a member of the Alumni Speakers Bureau. He is also an Honorary Knight of St. Patrick. Also active in community service, Bob has served on the Board of Directors of Glenridge Children’s Center where he was Vice President, and on the Board of Directors of the Clayton Child Center.

While at MSM-UMR, Bob was active in many student groups such as Delta Sigma Phi fraternity where he was Vice President and Rush Chair and the Student Union Board Vice President. He was also a member of Theta Tau, Blue Key and Student Council and he served as president for each of them. He was also selected to Who’s Who.

Bob’s organization memberships have included the Houston Club, Legends Country Club, FCA-St. Louis, and the Cystic Fibrosis-Gateway Chapter.
