Members of the MST Academy of Engineering Management are graduates of the program who have attained significant levels of professional achievement and success, and who demonstrate high standards of personal and professional integrity. No more than 1% of living graduates may be members of the Academy.

Membership is by invitation only. A candidate must be nominated by a current Academy member, or a current or emeritus faculty member. They may be recommended for nomination by the University’s Development Office. Members generally have at least twenty years of professional experience prior to nomination.

Members are committed to supporting the objectives of Missouri University of Science & Technology and the Department of Engineering Management. Specific expectations of the Members are:

  • Commitment to support and enhance the Engineering Management Department and its students and graduates
  • Availability to the Chair of Engineering Management, faculty, staff, students, and Academy Members at annual meetings and other select occasions
  • Willingness and availability to provide external insight and advice on current research and educational issues as they relate to the private and public sectors
  • Commitment to and promotion of Engineering Management as a discipline by way of mentoring of current students, advocacy and external promotion
  • Fellowship with, and encouragement and support of, other Academy members
